Hopefully photos and information about Saturday's Fishing Derby will run in the area newspapers the week of June 17, 2013. Look for the Thank You ad acknowledging businesses and individuals who helped make the event such a success for the kids! When you are in these shops, please make a special effort to say, "Hey! Thanks for supporting the Neil McKenzie Youth Fishing Derby. It's a great event for the kids!"
Do you know the age limit for kids to participate in this event? 17! That's right: This isn't just for the little kids. How many things are there to do in the area for 15-17 year olds? Or for 12-17 year olds for that matter? Encourage our youth to "step out of the box" (HOUSE!) and play in the outdoors. Get kids interested in nature, environmental respect, wildlife management, the night sky, and, of course, FISHIN'!
